We are the ACC

Established in 2023, The ACC Bugaboo Section was created in Invermere BC to  promote mountain culture and community through shared experiences in the mountains  for members of the East Kootenays. Through trips, mentorship, and social events, the Bugaboo Section engages with local climbers and backcountry users to promote local trips, responsible access, and environmental stewardship.

Our inspiration for starting a section is to promote East Kootenay mountain culture; by unifying  the climbing and backcountry skiing community through events and mentorship opportunities. As well, to preserve access and promote environmental stewardship.

The Alpine Club of Canada is a registered Amateur Athletic Association and a registered Canadian charity (Registration No: 10670 4182 RR0001). The ACC’s US ACC Foundation can accept charitable donations from donors living in the United States. We will issue a charitable tax receipt for eligible donations of $20 or more.
